I believe that William H. Seward's decision was a good decision because he helped and did good things in Alaska and it became a source of valuable Natural Resources such as fur, timber, and minerals.

Seward's Icebox was a nickname given to Alaska after Secretary of State William Henry Seward bought it from Russia. The purchase was also nicknamed "Seward's Folly".
