If the secret was let out, the enemies, european traders, portuguese traders, etc would invade delhi and conquer it. It would be a great loss for Humayun and Akbar. So it was kept as a secret so that while akbar reaches Delhi and tell out the secret, he could have a watch that Delhi would be safe!
