The industrial revolution not only offered brought massive amounts of invention and progress, it also bought massive amounts of solutions to basic human issues like water pumps and locomotive transport. Survivability of newborns to adulthood went up massively and the populations exploded.
If you want to know why America went though a boom as well, your answer would be resources. Despite not booming anywhere near as well as Great Britain due to being late and having to buy inventions, technology and designs from them, America had a massive pool of raw resources and a much bigger total amount of coal, steel and iron all of which built and powered steam engines. This drove lots of investment and the economy boomed as a result.
