Ball Bouncing Home Runno because if it bounce over the fence it is called a ground rule double. the runner advances to second base. so no it hasn't and never will. Yes, this was a rule in MLB until 1930. The rule was changed for the 1931 season to read:"A fair hit ball which bounces through or over a fence, or into the stands, is considered a ground rule double instead of a home run."
In the Army - one story is that the Gold Bar of a Lieutenant (LT) came from the ground (dirt level). And the Silver Bar is representative of the bottom bar or rung of a fence and is that insignia of a 1st LT. This bottom rung holds the fence together. The next rank Captain - looks like a fence (often thought of as railroad tracks) and that fence encloses a certain area that the fence (or Captain) is responsible for. The Major insignia is an Oak leaf and an Oak Tree grows strong and tall, and overlooks multiple fences (or commands). There was a time when a Major was a Squadron (Battalion) commander with many troops commanded by Captains. The Lieutenant (LTC/LtCol) rank is silver and is the older (old oak tree) and aged version of the gold leaf and may have originally been the leaf of a poplar tree with is considered a tougher/harder tree. (There is never any reference to the poplar in law or known history -- but is just a part of this story). A LTC also used to be the deputy regimental commander. A Colonel (COL/Col) insignia is that of an Eagle which soars high over all of the trees, and when necessary can swoop down to ground level (with devastating claws) and take care of business. A Colonel also used to command a regiment. Of course, the stars in the sky can overlook all things on the earth (or in the Army). There are many postings about ranks from LT to GEN, most of these are commonly known. This story was told to me (LTC) by a General Officer who read it in a book when he was a LT or CPT (but can no longer find the book). Let me know if you have it.

I've seen home runs where they've bounced off the noggin of the guy chasing after it. If it's in fair territory, if it goes over the wall it's a homer, unless it bounces off the ground and then goes over. Then it's a ground-rule double.
one example is the fact that Bruno thinks that the camp his home is stationed by is called out-with, when it is actually called Auschwitz, which was a major concentration camp back when the Germans attempted genocide.

MAJOR SPOILER!! At the end of The Boy in the Striped Pyjamas (2008), while looking for Shmuel's father Bruno and Shmuel are huddled with a group of men in a barrack. Rain begins to fall. They are told they are going home soon, and go underground; to which Bruno believes they are getting out of the rain. The prisoners are ordered to strip, (this is very non-explicit) and are shoved in a metal room. Other prisoners (known as sonderkommandos) reassure them, "It's just a shower"A sonderkommando then shuts the door and a Nazi with a gas mask pours some of the poison (Known as "Zyklon B") into it. Bruno's father is barely there in time to save the two, and he knows what happens. You can hear smoke crackling towards the end, signifying that they burned the bodies. Elsa screams her son's name while Gretel stares in awe. The film closes with the changing room, and the prisoner's uniforms waiting for the cycle to happen again.
Good places to find silk pajamas include major clothes retailers such as Kohl's and JCPenny. General online retailers such as Amazon also have silk pajamas in their clothes departments.
' "Ah, those people," said Father, nodding his head and smiling slightly. "Those people.. well, they're not people at all, Bruno." ' [page 53] ^ The quote above shows racism and how roughly the Jews were treated back then. It shows that, to the Nazis, Jews were nothing more than dirty animals. (No offence to Jews, of course.)

As you read in the story, Shmuel's dad had gone missing, it is referred in the book that they've been gassed. When the two go looking for them, they get mixed into a group heading to the gas chambers, so they have been gassed too.
