The lawyer who represented the divorce case stated she did not know that Judge Darensburg knew of the the party divorcing. The lawyer stated that Judge Darensburg admitted in the chambers that she did not want the sorority sister to know that she was a member of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority because it would cause other sorority sisters to call her and influence her decision. They called and she ruled in favor of her sorority sister and jailed the husband for contempt of court (civil) for missing an appearance due to a tornado in the area where he lived that damaged much of the Arkansas-Tennessee area after documents supported the husband's story. The judge should have reclused her self from the case.
