Hi, I used Optimum Relaxer regularly on my hair for the last half of my life (ages 14-27). Though I recently (6 months ago) switched from Optimum relaxer to a texturizer, I have continued to use the same ordinary conditioning shampoo I have used for most of the last 10 years. It basically has some conditioner built into it, and when you rinse it out, it leaves your hair feeling as if it has been deep conditioned. You can even run a fine tooth comb through your hair with little or no hair coming off because the shampoo has detangled and conditioned it so well. The Cream of Nature Detangling Conditioning Shampoo comes in normal (red bottle), ultra moisturizing (green bottle- my favourite), and fine hair (blue bottle). Try using Paul Mitchell Clarifying Shampoo. It comes in a tall bottle that's black and white with some blue on it.It deep cleans, and it removes oiliness and product buildup. Be sure to use conditioner on your ends though, because if you use it every day without conditioner, your hair can get a little dry on the tips.
