Cattle by nature are skittish animals. Lightning can cause cattle to become startled and bolt. In the days of the open range this was problematic on a number of levels. First, trying to stop stampeding cattle is inherently dangerous for both the animal and the cowboy. Second, it can scatter a herd across a large area causing lost time in retrieving them and it was quite easy to never recover all the animals. Today most cattle are fenced in but the west still has open grazing over large areas so it may still present a problem in those areas.
Another Answer:Actually cattle in the old west stampeded from the sound of thunder, not lightning, though lightning wasn't completely not a factor in scaring cattle enough to scatter from where the cowboys were trying to keep them. There have been many reports of a number of cattle have been struck by lightning because they took shelter under tall trees, or if they were standing or laying on a tall hill where lightning would most likely could strike, especially if they're taking shelter from flood waters. Lightning strikes often kill cattle, and if they're standing or laying close together, will spread out among the other cattle killing them in addition to the one (or two) that got struck. It is uncomon, but not unheard of, for people to be injured or even killed by lightning.

Yes; if the power goes out, then your computer goes out.
Are you kidding?? The Aberdeen Angus population is so high that it's far from being regarded as being under threat! Angus is one of the most popular breeds in North America and growing in popularity as we speak, so no, the Angus cattle population is definitely not under threat!!

The biggest Risk would be a stampede. When cattle are stampeded the y panic and trample the younger or weaker cattle. They can also loose tons of weight if they are not stopped soon enough. They would get scared by lightning and storms and the cattle would have a stampede and not only trample on the younger weaker cattle, but the ranchers, or cattle owners could get badly hurt.
It's called in-cloud or cloud-to-cloud lightning.
Lightning can be a problem because it poses a threat to people, animals, and property due to its high voltage and unpredictable nature. It can cause injuries or fatalities, damage electronic devices, start fires, and disrupt power supply and communication systems.
Helios threatened to stop shining on the Earth, and go down into Hades to shine there instead.
Poseidon, Calypso, and Zeus (only for throwing a lightning bolt at his whole crew after they disobeyed and ate the cattle of the sun)
It is a clock & every hour there is a different threat. At twelve o'clock the lightning strikes twelve time (I think).
The proper answer to this question would be nine. However, in reality, when a bolt of lightning hits them, they wouldn't just stand around acting dumb, they'd take off running for their lives, leaving ZERO cattle standing.
