As a spiritualist medium, I have studied mediumship throughout time. I have read of many different techniques that were used to help aid with connecting with those in spirit. Some of these techniques are still used today but, only by a small few. Perhaps one of the reasons was "for show" or to add more "feel" to the room - for a more dramatic affect. Do not get Spiritualist Mediums confused with "psychics" there is a big difference. Spiritualist Mediums generally are ministers of a spiritualist church. We apply the gift of mediumship to help those in the physical world. We are simply the voice which spirit uses to pass along messages to those here. We do not "predict" your future. Spiritualist Mediums help those who are in need of healing, perhaps closure with a loss of a friend or loved one. For more information on Spiritualist Mediumship please visit the following:

In my spiritual faith I have learnt not to blame the divine for the suffering that may occur on earth and to help others and be greatful for what I have. This has definitely helped shape who I am as a person. If it hasn't helped me in the past (I have only became spiritual these last three years) then it certainly will in the future.
Yes, Tony Stockwell, the British medium and psychic, is married. He is known for his work in spiritualism and mediumship, often appearing on television and at events. His personal life remains relatively private, but he has been open about his relationship status in the past.
Well, it really depends on what region you're talking about. But, in the past, there were usually more laws and restrictions which were based on religions. In America, most of the Founding Fathers were Christians, so of course the nation was founded on religious principles. Influences from other countries and cultures as well as advances in technology and such have over time caused more liberalization, and more dependence on oneself rather than a higher supernatural power, such as God. People were more Spiritual in the past because they were the people that are more exposed to the old beliefs, rituals right and most of the religious leaders before were so true they are not like the leaders of today. they are the one's that are most likely to believe in the miracles and deeds of the God. They ancestors might have experience such miracle that has made prof of the listeners or the readers as the decades past by.
They lose their spiritual pressure and recarnate as a human with no memories of their past.
Prophets are found in a number of major religions in the world, in the past in with Islam, Jews, Hindus, Buddhism, and of course Christianity. Most of all of them taught self sacrifice and being in the service for others. Not to strive for material things or wealth but to help those in need..to live a more simple life. To treat others with love and compassion. Their teachings center around the spiritual more then the physical world we live in.
mime, contemp dance, physical acrobatics, silent comedies..
Yes. Hinduism believes that this is not our first birth. When someone dies, it is only the body that dies. The spiritual essence of the person lives on and carries with it subtle impressions (samskaras) of past actions (karmas). When the time is right, the spiritual essence incarnates in a new body. Our past actions give us tendencies, talents, and handicaps.
"More" is not a verb. It has no past tense.
There can be no past tense for more, as it is an adjective, not a verb.
Today we can fit more information into smaller silicon wafers and so technology of the same physical size would have more capacity or be able to fit in more peripheral processors or other chips than before. Essentially, now technology that would, in the past, have taken up a good chunk of physical space, can now fit into even the smallest of devices and other places of usage.
physical and biological changes that have occured in the past.
In the past, talk typically involved face-to-face communication, phone calls, or written letters. This form of communication was more personal and often required physical interaction or effort to convey messages.
