The Battle of Britain was won because;

1. German aircraft were designed to work in tandem with the German army (Blitzkreig) and were second to none in that regard. In the Battle of Britain, the English channel made this operation impossible.

2. The tactics employed by fighter command. Fighting over England. Allied aircraft fighting near their bases allowing extra time in the air.

3. Poor German Intelligence. Uncertain about English losses or aircraft numbers.

4. Courage.

5. Luck

6. The hand of the Lord!
