The GMC Canyon was discontinued in 2012 in the US due to dwindling sales - the sales lagged 34% behind their main competitors, Toyota. On top of this, poor safety ratings put potential buyers off - the side impact safety rating was a mere "poor."
It was discontinued in 2010, along with the GMC Canyon.
It is not a very reliable truck. I would not recommend buying one.
