The NASA Space Program was important to America to invigorate the technology movement. It automatically created jobs for a purpose that was in every Americans imagination at the time. It made America feel that anything was possible. The times were full of hope as John F Kennedy was in Office. Americas success at such tasks as walking on the moon gave America pride. The space program came around when it seemed like American political leaders were being assassinated every other day. John F Kennedy Robert Kennedy , and Martin Luther King The nation was stuck with many hurtful ideas and prejudices in grained in many communities.

The space program was a great and hope filled distraction. It was wonderful.

Unfortunately it later became a bureaucracy that cost America more and more. It truly lost its spirit fro the earlier days.
