When Germany started to bomb civilian targets in large cities many children were moved from the cities to the countryside for their safety. This was stressful for many families as the parents stayed in the big cities and the families were living separate lives. Many children missed their families and many parents missed their children.
The move put pressure on many people in the countryside who were given children to look after who had previously no intention of looking after children.
A similar thing probably happened in Germany as Allied bombers were bombing German cities.
Because they needed to teach the evacuated kids
All the children under 12 and the babies were evacuated. The young ones went with their mothers. Teachers assisted in transporting the school aged children. Some older kids were evacuated by choice of the families. Many families evacuated voluntarily and went to Ireland, The United States, Canada, South Africa and the Bermudas.
Unfortunately some of the children who were evacuated were sent to homes where they were abused.
They didn't have any jobs because they were evacuated apart from working for the people they were staying with.
Children, especially the younger ones, were in serious danger if they weren't evacuated. There were lots of bombings in Britain and thousands of homes were destroyed. if children weren't evacuated they would be involved in bombing. kids would not be safe in the city as much as they'd be in the country where there were minimum bombs.
Children were evacuated for their safety because of the bombings near their home, they would usually be evacuated to the countryside.
Evacuated from where?
Kids may be evacuated from school due to safety concerns such as a fire drill, gas leak, or other emergency situations. Evacuation procedures are in place to ensure the safety and well-being of students in such situations.
Evacuated means 'removed from' .
Yes there were children in one of the towers. There was a day care on the 5th floor of one of them, but they were all evacuated safely.
Adults had jobs they felt they needed to keep. Queen Elizabeth stayed to keep morale up for kids who could not be evacuated. Many of the children went to family in the country or Canada.
They got evacuated by train or they had to walk.
