Sirhan Sirhan was not put to death after he assassinated Bobby Kennedy because the Death Penalty was taken away in California just before the assassination took place. So they could not give him the death penalty so he is forced to rot in jail for the rest of his life.

Yes/ Early on the morning of June 5, l968. the killer was apprehended. The assasin was a (Distrubed Christian Arab) named Sirhan Sirhan. For some unfathomable reason he was not executed. this was California and California had the death penalty at the time, and murder of a political candidate just having received the nomination would certainly warrant this sanction.
