Why well your 94 Dodge van start onetime and not the next time?

I've had this problem several times before. The most common reason is the battery cables are loose and while you are driving vibrate just enough to loose connection but the vehicle keeps running if the alternator is good. Then when you restart the van, no connection, or limited one at best and not enough power. I would suggest replacing the terminal ends if they appear worn or damaged. There are other possibilities however such as the starter solenoid, so i can't give a positive answer.
