Mary and Joseph did not stay in an inn, because there was no room for them. They stayed in a stable until Mary gave birth to Jesus. The inn with no rooms available is not named, only being referred to as "guest room"(NIV) or "room at the inn"(KJV) (Luke 2:7)
At the time Mary conceived Jesus a decree or order went out into the Roman world from Caesar Augustus the Emperor that all his kingdom should be registered. The people in Israel had to return to the place their fathers were from. Joseph and Mary was from the tribe of Judah and King David was from the tribe of Judah and David was in Mary's and Joseph's family line and was born in Bethlehem. So Joseph and Mary had to travel to Bethlehem to register. There were many people traveling to different cities to register wherever their family line had been from. Many other people from the tribe of Judah and a descendant of King David had to go to Bethlehem also and so the city of David (Bethlehem) was crowded.
To start with there were probably very few inns in Bethlehem and most people when they traveled camped at night or stayed with people who they knew or with strangers who would allow them the stay the night. Mary about to deliver the Baby Jesus needed a place to have the baby and the only place they could find was a stable (or a cave as some have suggested) as it would be more private than just camping in the open.
Because there was no room for them there. Everyone already was staying there because of the Census. And also, it made it easier for God to have the shepherds and wise men find them
In a manger in Bethelehem, outside of a full inn. The innkepper let them stay in there.
As there was no place in the inn, Mary and Joseph stayed in the manger, but if you are asking where they stayed later, it is in Nazareth.
The Bible does not tell us what conversations Joseph had with the people he was looking to stay with when he and Mary arrived in Bethlehem.
The inn where Mary and Joseph stayed in Bethlehem is not specifically mentioned by name in the Bible. The common understanding is that they sought shelter in a stable or cave, as there was no room for them in the inn.
inn
How dare you question my religion.
That is not recorded.
The Bible does not mention the name of the innkeeper in Bethlehem who turned Mary and Joseph away. The story of the innkeeper turning them away is a popular tradition in Christian culture surrounding the birth of Jesus.
The inn had no vacancies, so Mary and Joseph stayed in a stable.
Mary Prentiss Inn was created in 1843.
He easily could have been mild upset, at least, when his pregnant wife, Mary, was afforded no room at the inn.
well, technically, there were "inns" before christ. remember there wasnt any room at the inn so Mary and Joseph had to sleep in a barn.
