The communist government attempted to abolish the classes by distributing the wealth equally or by holding it common, so there is no class divisions. This way the poor and the rich were equal. If you were a doctor or a janitor you would get the same paycheck ;) .
The only side effect to this is it would aloud the government to have large control over how the people could make their money, how much they could make, and what they could do with that money, which in turn made the government powerful and certain leaders got a little power crazed.
Many people in the country were very poor, and communism involves making the poor more equal to the rich financially. This appealed to them, and after the autocracy of the Czar, they were definitely not going to try to create a new imperial system.
The Bolshevik Revolution of 1917 was primarily a reaction against Russia's involvement in WW I, which was very unpopular. As far as most Russians could see, they were fighting and dying to defend France from Germany, and it wasn't Russia's fight. The Bolsheviks promised peace. That was the first issue. Beyond that, communism as explained by Karl Marx is a very compassionate social system. To quote Marx, "from each according to his ability, and to each according to his needs". Everyone does what they can to help society function, and society gives everybody what they need. This is supposed to bring an end to poverty, oppression and exploitation of the lower classes, excessive privileges of the wealthy and powerful, and injustices in general. The reality of life in the USSR never lived up to this ideal (or even came close), but it was still a lovely ideal.

it promises political & economic power to the proletariat, the poorest of the working poor, a group that Marx thought would become the largest & least powerful social class in end stage capitalist societies.
Because it sounded like it would improve their lives and their general wellbeing.
They also may have thought it sounded appealing.
People are attracted to Communism because the like the idea of a world with no government, no borders, no billionaires, no poverty, no wars.
I personally like communism still, but everyone’s point of view is different towards communism so it’s a hard question to answer
The appeal of communism was that the citizens of living in a communist government would end oppression and result in an economy that would fairly distribute the wealth produced within the country.
Communism had mass appeal to many especially in the Third World. One of the reasons for this was that many nations had for years ruled by Europeans who had treated the native people harshly as part of it's teachings Communism rejects imperialism and colonization by foreign powers this had enormous appeal. In Europe itself many poor people believed that Communism could make their lives better and it's out of this hopelessness that many joined Communist parties. Communism also had support in nations ruled by right-wing dictators such as those in Latin America, who banned trade unions and oversaw great gaps in income inequality that lead to mass unrest of which communism was a part of.
Fascism was popular in Italy because Benito Mussolini adopted the idea and introduced it to Italian politics. Fascists main competitor were communists. One thing you should always know is that fascists absolutely HATE communism. France did not adopt communism because of their affiliations with the other allies during WWI.
because the rich people in Vietnam [there were few] would have to give away their money to the poor people. everyone would be equal, making the poor not as poor as before.
It is where communism was domesticated.
The goal of aid provided through the Marshall Plan was to decrease the appeal of communism in Western Europe.

There is no such thing as Middle Eastern Communism and no Middle Eastern State has ever embraced Communism. Arab Socialism (which may be what you are referring to) is not a left-wing ideology, but a centrist doctrine. The word "socialist" in "Arab Socialism" refers to the communal appeal of the doctrine and its unifying aspect.
