Because they are easier to take off than nappies/diapers.

if your son is not pooping on the potty then you tell him that he needs to if he asks for a pull-up don't give it to him and if he wears pull-ups get him underwear if he poops in them let him stay in the dirty underwear for about 5-10 minutes so he can understand that pooping in his pants isn't comfortable and then he will go on the potty
Ralph's World sings the "Potty Dance" Song for pull-ups There is another version of "Potty dance" that is more of a RAP but I don't know who sings that version.

Yes. There are youth and adult-sized disposable diapers and "pull-ups" similar to toddler potty training pants (like Depends®) available at local drug stores and other retail outlets. You can also find a wider variety of products and sizes through specialty companies, such as Diapersite and eSpecialNeeds (links below). For more information, see Related Links, below.
What difference does it make if they are Mexcican or not? I'm Mexican, and I was potty trained just like any other person was. Rewards, pull-ups, praise, excetera.
If you want to save on diapers, you should introduce the potty Very early. Its never to early.Even if they aren't talking well yet, you can still change them in the restroom in front of the potty. The whole time you are wiping your child, tell them that what they just did belongs in the potty. Then to show them, sit them on it before you put on the clean diaper. Constantly saying that THIS is where their potty goes. Be consistent and do it Every Diaper Change. Otherwise they will get confused and believe that sometimes they have to use the potty, but sometimes they don't. Also, make sure they understand there is a reward for going in the potty. I bought a bag of Chocolate Kisses. When ever they went, I would put a new diaper on, pull up their pants and IMMEDIATELY give them a piece of candy. That way they recognize it as a reward and not just a snack. This works! They say that boys are harder to train, but my son was out of pull ups and in underwear 24hours a day BEFORE he was 2 and a half! Not even in night time pull ups. And my daughter goes on the potty everyday. She doesn't have very good Bladder control yet. But she hasn't had a B.M. in her diapers in a month. She goes in the potty every time. My daughter is Still 1yr old.

If they fit, I guess the could, but Pull ups aren't really designed for adults. Why not just by some pull up style Adult diapers. They don't cost any more.
