In Britain, like everyone else, they went down to the air-raid shelters (usually the Underground railway stations), if they lived in the city. In the suburbs, they went into so-called Anderson shelters dug into backyards.
I think it let women work when men where off at war in WWI. There where no men to work so women got to.
The cold war was NOT declared. The cold war was not a war. The cold war was simply a name given to "a non-shooting" military stand off between the communist world and the free world.
get off with their wives
World War 2.
nothing
Sirens that could be heard through the city would go off to let people know that they should seek shelter.
m great-grandad, who is still alive but dying told me he heard bombs dropping, sirens going off and aeroplanes flying over
The blitz sirens went off when radar detected enemy bombers approaching.
Only in areas that have them. Many places don't. The sirens will only go off if the tornado is detected in time. Usually they are, but not always.
Tornado sirens have to turn of after sounding for a bit because running them for too long can damage them.
scared
Why can't he? sirens are going off in my head. Sounds like trouble. He should be there for you...not causing more of a head ache.
The sirens were monsters that led sailors to a drowning death by singing so sweetly that sailors jumped off their boats to meet them.

You kill someone on the game and wait until the ambulance gets there. When one of the EMT's gets out of the ambulance, u hijack the ambulance an the sirens should still be on and silent. Note: if u turn the sirens off and on again or get out and get back in the ambulance the sirens will still be on but they won't be silent!
