they resented British rule because of the massive amounts of taxes that were levied upon them. They did not feel it was fair to have the taxes while not being allowed to represent the colonies in government.

There were many factors which contributed to the Americans becoming discontent with the British. The British began increasing taxes in response to the smuggling operations in the colonies. Colonists also took issue with the King enforcing the colonists to quarter British soldiers.

well they felt angry because they didnt like the new rule that the british made then the colonist made up their own rules to fight back because it was their land so they made up a couple of new rules to show that they fight back.
