They were enraged on account of the fact that Jesus was consistently disagreeing with them even though he lacked the ostensible qualifications to do so. From the Christian perspective, of course, since Jesus was an incarnation of the Divine, this seems difficult to swallow, but the people of the synagogue did not accept this view. As a result, his consistent repudiation of their conduct was not well taken.

(To get an idea of this perspective, imagine somebody entered your place of worship and proceeded to listen to sermon given by your priest or equivalent. After every few sentences, he would just shout: "No, that's incorrect" or "No, you're just misinterpreting, I know what's going on". This would get you angry as well as most of the fellow religious individuals, because that person has not justified on any reasonable grounds that he knows the Truth better than the priest.)

Difference of major and minor prophets?

The classification of "Major" or "Minor Prophets" refers to the length of the book by that prophet's name, so in strict terms prophets (the people) aren't classified as "major" or "minor". This classification is used with prophetic books in the Old Testament. There are twelve shorter books collectively referred to as the "Minor Prophets" and the remaining prophetic books in the Old Testament are considerably longer in length and referred to as "Major Prophets".

Where can I find in the Bible about the major prophets?

The major prophets are the books in the Old Testament that give the prophesies of God to the Jewish people. They are not called 'major' because they are more important than the 'minor' prophets but simply because their books are longer. The major prophets are:- * Isaiah * Jeremiah * Ezekiel * Daniel and are found in the last section of the Old Testament. They are followed by the minor prophets (as their books are much shorter):- Hosea, Joel, Amos, Obadiah, Jonah, Micah, Nahum, Habakkuk, Zephaniah, Haggai, Zechariah and Malachi.

Does Christianity share any of their prophets with any one else?

All the prophets in the Old Testament are revered and studied by both Christians and Hebrew people.
