Haiti was the most and only successful slave revolt in history, and this lead to the rest of the world becoming slave free countries. The Haitian revolution caused a series of independence movements across the world, especially in the Americas. But, the bad things include that after the revolt, slaves were in charge ofthecountry, but theslaves were illiterate and did not know how to run a country, so surrounding countries and territories did not want to trade with them, which caused Haiti to become the poorest country in the Americas.
