Most of the people sent to the concentration camps and death camps during the Holocaust were Jews. But other groups of individuals sent to the camps included homosexuals, gypsies, political opponents, those who hid and helped Jews, blacks, and resistance workers.
Because they were German and French Soldier's who were sent there to stop Germany from taking over so they captured them and put them in prison camps and were treated the same as the Jews some were killed some got out when they figured out what they were doing and tried to stop them but Hitler was too powerful by that time.
Jews were thrown in concentration camps under the order of Adolf Hitler. Hitler thought anybody that wasn't German a disgrace to Germany. Along with Jews, non-Jewish Poles, Communists and political opponents. Members of resistance groups. Homosexuals, Roma, the physically and mentally retarded, Soviet prisoners of war, Jehovah's Witnesses, Adventists, trade unionists, and psychiatric patients were killed and put in concentration camps. Why u ask? Because Hitler thought that he and German people were superior physically, intellectually and morally to the others.
I took the time to research and remember the information above. I really hoped it helped.
