when puting a oil pump in a motor u always need to prime the pump manually and check it screen
i believe it should be around 6 psi that's what mine was at after i installed my new pump
Check the pressure regulator, fuel filter and fuel pump.
The water pump on a 1989 Ford F150 5.0 liter is changed by removing the engine accessories, disconnecting the radiator hoses, and removing the retaining bolts. The pump is then pulled from the block, a new gasket put in place, and the new pump installed.
The water pump on a 91 Ford F-150 6cyl 4.9l is changed by removing the engine accessories, disconnecting the radiator hose, and unbolting the pump. It can then be pulled from the engine and a new pump installed.
Check the fuel filter, pressure regulator and also make certain that the "new" fuel pump is functioning properly; remember that SOME new parts don't work either.
The input line and output line might be in opposite positions on the new pump. Switch the fuel lines and see if that works.
Just start it as you normally would. If the new fuel pump was installed properly and there were no other problems with the engine, it should start after turning over for a few seconds. It'll take a few revolutions of the starter for the new pump to build up some pressure in the line.
check fuse for fuel pump or may need a new fuel pressure regulator, its on the fuel rail.
Engine cam, rod, or main bearings are worn out.
check its not the sensor and also have a oil pressure check done on the engine to determin if there is an actual problem
No. The damaged may have occured before the new pump was installed.
Remove the fuel pump and relieve the fuel system pressure. Disconnect the fuel line then fix the fuel pressure gauge. Reconnect the fuse to the fuel pump and start the engine to check leakage. Tidy the surrounding of the fuel pressure regulator.
