Your battery may have been overcharged to much so now it has gone bad. So you may need a new battery.

You get a new USB/plug cord!

Ive tried my wall plug and ive tried plugging it into my computer and rebooting the computer... all that comes up is the charging lightning bolt it doesnt charge. when i unplug it it has the connect to power source symbol... HELP!
Plug your Kindle into the computer. Go to the start button in the bottom left hand corner of your screen. Click on "my computer". Go to the Kindle button. On your computer find music and drag to the music folder. Then on your Kindle press the "menu" button and click "Sync & Check for items". It should work!
