IMO, you need to start it at least once every 3 months and let it reach full operating temperature. Make sure to put fuel stabilizer in the fuel tank. If you are going to store it for over a year you need to store it correctly and not just park it.

More than likely 6 quarts with filter change. Park on level surface, drain the oil and replace the filter. Add 5 quarts and start the engine and run for 2 minutes. Shut off and wait 30 minutes. Check the level and add as necessary to top it off. You now know what it holds. Do not overfill.
The automatic Toyota may be stuck in park because of transmission problems. The transmission may be jammed or stuck in that gear.
