Computers do read DVD-Rs but if your computer doesn't read DVD-Rs you may not have a DVD Drive. To make sure you have one, Look on the drive. If it says Compact Disk, that means CDs only. If it says Compact Disk and DVD R/RW you cab view and burn DVDs
Your computer may not reach the sims 3 system requirements, or something is wrong with the disk.
Try Burning the songs to a disk and then save them on the other computer.
There must be something wrong with your computer, mine works perfectly fine. It is probebly just jammed.
you can format your drive from DOS, but once you do that you wont have an operating system and your computer will be useless.
Try to give us more details, how did you do format of your hard disk? What kind of operation system did you have? What do you mean by saying that CD won't run? I guess you want to reinstall Windows OS on your PC and get problems with boot CD?
most of the time it is something to do with the launcher, for me to fix it either take the disk out and reload it or take the disk out and restart the computer then reload the game. hope this helps.
if it wont install then eather your computer is not fast anuf or u need to buy new CD
if you have a mac, it wont work, if you have a PC then you insert the disk into a drive, then the installation should load. if it doesn't then try going on My Computer, then your disk drive that you put your Halo CD in, and it should load.
Buy a windows 7 boot disk, and install it, and ittl wipe it, after that, install AVG Here: free.avg.com
Disk
CDs were made earlier than DVDs. CDs were a new version of the very old black disks. DVDs were invented later, DVDs are put in a rectangler box because it was an earlier version of a video tape.
It is possible that the drive may not be fast enough, incompatible with, or the operating system incompatible with (or not having proper drivers for) the CD-ROM Disk Drive.
