We need to know what the coolant won't run through.
No. Coolant only runs through your radiator into the engine and back again. Your condencer is part of your A/C system.
Air flow through radiator restricted with debris. Coolant flow through inside of radiator restricted with debris. Low on coolant. Faulty thermostat. Coolant fans inop.
when your coolant in your engine gets a certain temperature, usually 180 degrees, your thermostat opens and your coolant circulates through your radiator and it keeps your engine cool so it wont overheat.
Chances are it wont read the coolant levels meaning your car will go bang!
Could be, Restricted air flow through outside of radiator, Restricted coolant flow through inside of radiator, Faulty fan clutch, Missing or broken radiator fan shroud, Faulty thermostat, Low on coolant,
It can become a habit but if your not worried about that go ahead, it wont damage you and wont do anything bad except run through your cash.
The coolant sensor moniters the coolant temperature. A faulty thermostat could cause the engine to run cool.
The radiator fan is designed to run continuously while the engine is running so that the temperature of the coolant can be lowered. The coolant is continuously run through the engine, collecting engine heat and dispersing it over the radiator fins; while the fan blows the fins and cooling off the coolant before recirculating back through the engine in a continuous cycle.
could be PO118= PO118 Engine Coolant Temp Circuit high =coolant temp sensor. Take to Auto zone or Advanced Auto (if in your area) and they will run a free diagnostic and tell you the code and what the issue is. Mine was the PO118.
IT SOUNDS LIKE YOUR FERMASTAT IS SEAZED IF HEAD GASKET GONE IT IS LIKE SLURRY BROWN COOLANT SPEWING OUT IS SAYING TO YA IT WONT LET RUN THROUGH ENGINE THE WATER CANT GET PAST THE FERMASTAT GOODLUCK ALL RENAULTS ARE WORTH IT
it could be that you've put too much coolant to percentage of water in
There may be other reasons for the vehicle to be overheating but yes if you have let the reservoir run dry then it wont have suction to draw fluid back into the radiator so you will have to fill the radiator as well.
