Did you install a 32bit version on a 64bit machine. If it says you need a 64bit copy when you install then you do. If you were just updating then redownload and reinstall.

To determine the version number of any Mac OS X software click on the name of the software (for example iTunes) in the menu bar (top left) and select About iTunes. This will open a window with details about the software. If the software is not running you can right click on the software's icon and then select Get Info from the menu. This will open an Info window with details of the software.
You have to have iTunes. That is why it is saying that you need to connect to iTunes. You have to download the latest version of iTunes from Apple's website, and open it up when you have the iPod connected to the computer.
download latest version of itunes and you should be fine
no it doesnt trust me ive got it my computer : )
Well I know that for one thing, you cannot download music for free off itunes... But... You can upload music from your PC to itunes. 1. Start Itunes. 2. On the top bar of the menu, go to file. 3. Next you go down to library, and you click import playlist. 4. Next you click on the mp3, wma or video and when you click open. the song then appears on itunes. Note that if you delete the song, then on itunes it is just a couple of letters. or another way... have documents open and itunes open and then you click and drag from documents to itunes and it will show up in itunes as the format as it is.
Plug your ipod into your computer, then just open up itunes, itunes will automatically sync your ipod... -Thanks
just plug your ipod into the computer
If you download the latest version of iTunes, it will automatically download the latest version of quicktime. Also, when you download itunes, you can also choose to download apple software update for your computer. when you open apple software update, it searches for new updates in iTunes, quicktime and safari.
Just shut your mouth and keep sitting.
If it does not open, try restarting your computer. If it still does not open, delete that iTunes and redownload iTunes 9 from Apple's website.
It's very easy. Go to C:\Users\(your username)\Music\iTunes and rename the file "iTunes Library.itl" to "iTunes Library.OLD" Open iTunes, go to Help --> Check For Update, download & install the most recent upgrade. Once complete it will usually requires a computer restart. If not, you must close iTunes for the next step to work due to "File In Use" issues. Go back to C:\Users\(your username)\Music\iTunes and rename newly-created "iTunes Library.itl" to "iTunes Library.NEW" (or just delete that file). Then rename your old file "iTunes Library.OLD" back to "iTunes Library.itl". When you next open Itunes your old library will be accessable.
