May be the neutral safety switch. Mine was dirty and I was having issues getting it to start.
The airbag light comes on at start up for a bulb check. It stays on when the computer detects a malfunction and sets a code.
The check gauges light stays on when one of the gauges is out of the safe or normal range.
The gen light stays on when the charging system malfunctions.
It stays not started for several months.

Try disconnecting the battery for several minutes (may need up to 20 minutes). That will clear the computer's memory.
