Why won't my 1997 Chevy Cheyenne start I have replaced the fuel pump and still doesn't start It tries to to crank but never does help you?

I am having the problem of it runing out of fuel I found pin holes in the rubber tubin at the Valve selector switch check all rubber hoses
Also after that repair i could dive it for about 20 miles it started runing out of gas again found the Cam lob worn replace the cam
