Why won't my 2001 Saab 9.3 start sometimes after short trip in cold weather but always does first thing in am?

I had the same problem with my 2001 9-3. I ended up replacing the neutral safety switch. It was apparently a common problem in our model year. It cost a couple hundred bucks as I recall. Hope this helps!
