check all fuses.
make sure there is fuel in the tank.
Test for spark, (pull one spark plug, put the spark plug on the spark plug wire and lay on metal, have someone crank engine while watching the spark plug for spark.
test for fuel; listen with a screwdriver against your ear and onto one of the injectors behind the valve cover, while someone cranks the engine. should hear a click every four compression strokes.
Listen for sound of the fuel pump when you turn the key on or when someone cranks the engine. Sound will come from the fuel tank area.
Make sure the cam is turning when cranking, could be a broken cam timing belt. not good if true, since this is an interference engine. Remove oil filler cap and watch that the cam is turning regularly.
If these all okay, then it will likely start.
Computers are common to fail on these.

The E brake is on?
Go to the KAZ auto repair place and ask them that same question and see what they tell you. See if they can answer your question.
Because Hyundai is the Walmart of cars :)
if it is anything like my 2006 Hyundai accent then you have take take off the black trim around the stero.. there are about 6 places where you need to pry. the corners and the middle areas. kind of tough to get off but just keep pulling. you wont break anything. just pull hard. after that is off all you have to do is unscrew the srews
Hyundai have added a trick to starting the engine - you need to have the clutch pedal in regardless of whether or not the car is in gear. Unless the clutch is in, the engine won't fire.
I replace engine but now it wont start.

If a 1997 Hyundai Tiburon will not start and the battery is good, the reason why it will not crank or turn over could be the starter. It could also be that the timing belt is broken. The motor could have also seized up due to a piston breaking. Also check the fan belt.
The fan will not turn on till your vehicle is at operating temperature. Check it again when the engine is hot.
combustion engines need 3 things to run: fuel, spark, air
