Reset the check engine light on a Ford Fusion by disconnecting the battery. On newer cars, once the battery is reconnected, the light will come back on. Take hold of the turn signal light connector. Push the connector in and turn at the same time. The connector and light will come free. Do the same with the light bulb to remove it.
