Next, check that the spark timing is correct and make certain that the compression is up. If the plugs have been connected wrong or the distributor wires have been replaced wrong you may not be able to start the vehicle until that problem is corrected. If the compression is down it could be because the timing belt/chain has slipped. ( don't know which is in the mazda. I haven't worked on one for a long time.)

start with plugs and wires, ive seen this many times. not worth taking to the dealer when its a simple fix. always factory plugs and wires.AnswerHi, My Mazda did the same thing and i took mine to a mechanic and all it was, was it needed a new petrol filter and now everything is ok with it
Diesel run in any petrol engine will do damage if you can keep the engine running for a long period of time. A petrol engine will not start and run on diesel fuel alone Posted by Danny from Bee Mech Mobile Mechanics
The diesel battery is bigger as it take a lot more to get a diesel engine going. Best bet is to charge the diesel battery using the petrol, connect the 2 and leave the petrol engine running.
you have to find the key at the volcano and then find the petrol container at the kiosk at the pool then wait a day then you can start the boat
could need a tune up---plugs, wires, fuel filter & air filter...good inexpensive way to start

If you put gasoline/petrol in the oil resivoir of any engine, you will destroy the engine if you do not drain the oil and add fresh oil immediately. Start running that engine and it will not last long.
1998 I think you mean what year did unleaded petrol start in Britain.
