Could be a bad fuel sending unit. Could be a bad fuel pump. Could be a partially blocked fuel filter. Could be a blocked injector.
Your best bet is to get into the shop for diagnostic.
lack of fuel
Faulty mass air flow sensor (MAF sensor)
Try cleaning your injectors.

must be taking in extra air some where. Check for vacum leaks.
Its out of gas
get a new engine DUMMY!

You need a new battery. The same exact problem just happened to me in my 2002 jeep grand cherokee. The computer in the vehicle wont let it run unless it is getting a high amount of voltage from the battery. When you replace the battery, the problem should be fixed.
to me it sounds like your map sensor is going out, you might want to check that.
