Does it have a wireless card? Is the driver installed? Is your wireless access point on? Is the right password put in? Have you tried the card in a different computer? Different network?

Where do you find your SSID code?

An SSID isn't on a wii, its a name for your router on your computer so you have to find it on your computer first. On a Windows computer, go to Start>Control Panel>Network and Internet Connections>; now you have a small screen that says, (in white) "Pick a Task..." and it lists several options, and below, "Pick a Task...", it says, (in white), "or pick a Control Panel icon". Now click: Wireless Network Setup Wizard>; this will bring up a small grey setup info box. Click: Next>Set up a new wireless network>; and at the top it should say: "Network Name (SSID)" followed by a box with your SSID in it!!! Hope I helped! I know how hard this is because i had to figure it out all by myself, and im only 13!! :). <3. God Bless.

How do you connect a wireless router to a psp?

You have 2 wireless computers do you need a router?

No. I remember trying to link my friends laptop with mine and failing. I did however work it out much later after i had bought a router. I know that Vista is different to XP but heres how to do it for XP. I have done it on a laptop with vista but only once, i dont know if it was a problem with the computer but it wouldn't work again. However here is how to do it with XP, if you have a different operating system then this probably wont help you. To connect the two computers you need to set up an ad-hoc connection. this is a temporary connection you set up to connect the computers. To do this you should open up Wireless network connections. you can do this by double clicking the wireless computer icon in the right hand side of the taskbar. Then click 'Change advanced settings' on the left side of the window. This brings up a different window. Select the 'Wireless Networks' tab at the top. Then click the 'Add...' button. Type a network name and deselect 'The key is provided for me automatically' and type your own network key. Remeber this key. Then tick the box at the button that says 'This is a computer-to-computer (ad hoc) network; wireless access points are not used'. Select OK. Go back to the wireless networks and ensure your wireless is activated. Search for wireless networks. Your ad hoc connection should be there; connect to it. Then search for the network on your other laptop. it should show up. connect to it. You will have to enter the network key. Your laptops should be connected. If you intend to game on them you may need to deactivate the firewalls. If you want to share files or a printer you should allow file and printer sharing.

Why wont your 802.11g LAN work with a secured wireless network?

What do you mean working with each other? 802.11g is the wireless protocol, which you can secure with WAP or WEP encryption and it would be called a secured wireless network. Also, it would be called a WLAN for wireless local area network. They're the same thing.

Can you plug an ethernet cable for an xbox 360 into the back of your computer?

Yes, you can but it wont do anything. To connect to the Internet you will need a modem with an assigned IP. To connect your 360 to your computer, for file sharing, you will need a router. Daveyboysim says, Actually you can do this in order to get your Xbox 360 online without a wireless router - you just need to go into network connections in either XP or Vista and, by right clicking on the appropriate connection, selecting 'Properties' and then clicking into the 'sharing' tab, you will see a tick box which says "allow other network user to connect through this computer's internet connection". Tick this and your Xbox 360 will be able to share your computer's connection - even if it is a wireless laptop.

What does my wireless for your laptop wont work on your password protected router you put the password in but it wont work its works on other routers that use passwords?

You need to make sure that your wireless adapter supports the security. Check if the network requires WPA2, if does and you cannot connect to it, it means your adapter can't work with and the router has to configured to work with first generation of WPA.
