It may be a problem with your keyboard.
If you know that your keyboard is working fine, check your controls. Press Esc. to enter the menu, select options, select controls, then check to make sure that they are all what you are used to (usually WASD). Hope that helps! :)

Having View Bobbing OFF makes you float instead of actually walking.
