You either need to be more assertive or they need to be less stubborn. Probably a combination of both.
On the other hand, you may have been too assertive and they have ceased listening to you because they don't want to hear what you say. In this case, start talking about something they care about and let them talk as well, or just stop talking completely for a while.

∙ 10y agoIf you find that your parents won't listen to you, you might reconsider the way you are trying to communicate with them. No one likes being yelled at or dealing with someone who has a bad attitude, so if you are taking this approach, try being more calm and friendlier.
