It is possible that the heating element is not connected properly, and does not heat rapidly enough to dry the clothes. Another possibility is that you have not properly arranged for the intake and outflow of air: the dryer needs a continuous intake of air, and must be properly vented to carry away the warm moist air.
They coat the clothes with chemical layer. Over time it will coat the dryer, too.
cotton shrinks in the dryer because of its fibers. cotton will shrink the most the first time you wash it.
A gas clothes dryer will never become an electric dryer. To convert from an old gas dryer to a new electric model, the only major thing is to make sure there is the right kind of electric power outlet. Nearly all dryers require a large 30A 230V plug. Your gas dryer had only a regular 15A 117V plug, just light the other regular outlets in the house. Grounding is essential (!) for an electric dryer. If the ground is not there you will eventually get a horrible shock from the washer or dryer. A few clothes dryers (usually apartment sized models) use only the standard outlet, but expect a drying time of 2 hours plus for a small load of clothes.
It is a quiet machine and saves on energy and time.
It depends on how you use it. If you use a solar close dryer ( a clothes line) it would use less electricity than an electric clothes dryer. But what about your time? If it took you half an hour to hang up and take down the clothes and your time is worth $8 an hour? You could say that the labor cost is $4. If it only took one minute to put the clothes in an electric dryer and the dryer used $1 worth of electricity you would actually save time. And like they say time is money. So there are a lot of ways of looking at it. Solar energy does make a lot of sense when you use it in a remote location where you don't have access to power lines.

The best electric toothbrush for first time users would have to be an Arm and Hammer Spinbrush Brand. They sell it at CVS/pharmacy and Duane Reade as well.

There are a number of possible factors that could play a part in the length of time it takes to dry cloths. First, it could be that the screen(filter) for the dirt/dust/fibers may be so clogged that air is not getting through (which is a fire hazard). Or the vent leading to the exhaust from the dryer may be blocked or squeezed. The electric elements are primarily the electric cord, the circuit board, and the heating element. If the dryer is plugged in and it turns on, it is most likely not the plug. If the dials/buttons on the control panel work as they should (this means that when you press a button labeled as a function it performs that function) then it is probably not the control panel. If you open the dryer at any given time, and the air seems to be cooler then you think it should be, it could be one of three problems: A) The heating element for the air is not working properly. B) The setting on the control panel might be set too low (too cold) or C) there could be something hindering the heating element
