Most likely the fuel pressure check valve in the fuel pump is going bad. That's not a really big problem, except the slightly delayed start you're noticing. You'd need to double check this with a fuel pressure gauge before replacing anything. I would recommend replacing the fuel filter, however. That is a maintenance item that's usually ignored. If you check the fuel pressure and it's okay after you shut the car off (should stay at least 20 psi), then take it in the repair shop.
Yes. I recommend testing the battery or take it to auto zone they will check for free.
It may not be connected right.
when it doesn't start right away.
because if you are far away from your house they wont be able to get home
Can be partially clogged fuel filter or a weak fuel pump this is about to fail. There are other things that can cause this but these are the main causes.
The built in security system thinks someone is trying to steal the car. Remove key, walk away and try again in about 30 minutes with the right key, it should reset itself.
probably because it's carburated and it takes longer to start an old carburated car.
How do you know that it is your car?
If you already put gas on the car and still don't start you need to put a little gas on the gas filter. That make the car start right away. Is because it take a while fot the gas to go up went the car was totaly dry. Try it work...
It wont start
