Look for a blown fuse.
There is a fuse for the gauges, check it.
The instrument cluster can cause that problem. It shorts out the communication system between the computers.
check the fuses in the fuse box first
You have a corrided loose or bad ground wire
How do you reset the security code on a 1994 ponitac firebird formula......
Check the fuses.
I had the same problem with my t&c, if you have the digital dash look and see if the odometer lights up when cranking. if not i swift pound on the dash right above the gauges usually works. (I found that on another help site and it worked for me)
if the dash lights you mean the gauges wont light up easy fix its the scroll switch at the left near the cruise control button pop it out and replace it the scroll button controls the dash lights. good luck sr20de ftw.
motors r out
Usually when your battery light will not turn off, you either are about to have generator problems, you have a bad controller, or you have a bad sensor. You need to have someone check it out.
Found the problem. OBDII gave me a fault code. P1694. It was the Crankshaft Position Sensor. The sensor was shorting out which caused the gauges to not function.
NO. In the late month of 1999 chevy completely REDESIGNED EVERYTHING on the chevy trucks and nothing over the year of late 1999 will interchange with anything under the year of 1999. It wont fit.
