Did you check the Distributor cap chances are either that is on backwards or a fuse went out within the ignition system. I have seen fuses blow during replacing these items do to arcing the system but it is not proven but check the firing sequence of the distributor cap usually there is a number 1 on the first cylinder and from there you have to look more into depth on how the firing order according to the cylinders is arranged on the distributor itself hope this will help
no spark to plugs
My 93 camry has no power from the distributor to the spark plugs. The car unable to start.
distributes the spark from the coil to the spark plugs
distributes the spark from the coil to the spark plugs
I would start with replacing the spark plug wires and spark plugs (if you did not do that for a while). If does not help check the coils or distributor depending on what you have.
On older cars it would be replacing, PCV valve, spark plugs, plug wires, rotor, condenser, and possibly distributor cap. On newer cars it usually means replacing plugs & plug wires.
The spark travels from the coil to the distributor then from the distributor to the plugs. So if you have spark going into the distributor but not coming out to the plugs, I would blame the distributor cap and rotor being at fault.
try your ignition control sensor located in your distributor
the spark plugs are screwed into the engine block and the top part of them is covered by a single wire, if you have a four cylinder engine, there will be four spark plugs, the wires will all go from the spark plug to a distributor cap and should pull straight off on each end, if you are replacing the spark plugs make sure not to change any of the wire locations
no the plugs just delivers the spark. you only need to do timing if u pull the distributor out of the block or do a timingChan or if the distributor slips
Could be in need of a tune up consisting of replacing spark plugs, spark plug wires, distributor cap, rotor, air and fuel filters.
not necessarily unless after replacing plugs your engine misfires.
