Vegetable oil is made of nonpolar molecules and vinegar (which is a solution of approximately 5% acetic acid and water) is made of polar molecules. Where solubility is concerned, the rule is usually "like dissolves like", or materials with similar types of intermolecular forces tend to be soluble in one another.
The carbon and hydrogen atoms in its fatty acid chains have similar electronegativities, so the electrons aren't pulled to any one part of the molecule. This makes it attracted to other materials that are nonpolar (have no negative or positive charges), but not to materials that are polar. Vinegar contains oxygen-hydrogen bonds that are quite polar--the oxygen pulls electrons away from the hydrogen, giving oxygen a partial negative and hydrogen a partial positive charge. That results in molecules that are attracted to other substances with full or partial charges.
because it is not hot
Any kind of oil wont dissolve alka seltzer tablets
the alka-seltzer
I am certain it was Alka-Seltzer
it all depends on how much alka-seltzers you put in the water filled canister. the more alka-seltzers you use the more higher it goes. but if you use too much alka-seltzers it wont work.
no it wont because i said so!!!!!
exactly what it is advertised to do it wont harm humans because we can belch but if it was a bird the bird would blow up cause they cannot belch
it doesn't really depend on the type of solultion its the temperature that affects it. the hotter the solution the faster the alka selzter will disolve.the opposite of this is if the the solution is cold.this is not really complitcated and im only in the 7th grade
No, it wont dissolve.
no it wont dissolve for my science project it only molded
It wont completely dissolve it but it will change the texture of the nail.
No, it wont "dissolve" it will get mixed into your soup giving it extra flavour.
They wont disolve in nutin
