It works on this one.
System ConfigurationSome operating systems and configurations may have trouble running Java. It is unlikely if your system and software are up to date. There was some rumors and I'm not sure how credible they are that Microsoft campained to keep Java off their older operating systems.
Not Installed? Also the more obvious solution may be that you do not have Java installed.

It isn't. Compared to languages like Perl, Python and Ruby, Java is a regular speed demon. (That is, the latest implementations are fast. Around year 2000, Java was no quicker than Perl & Co.)
Java tends to be a few percent slower than a similar program in C (or compiled Lisp), but in many cases this difference is not very important.
Java is slow in startup time. This is because Java uses interpreted bytecode, and needs to load a lot of framework before it can start executing the program.
Also, the Just-In-Time compiler, which compiles interpreted bytecode (slow) to machine code (fast) on the fly, doesn't begin to kick in until the program has been running for a while.
For these reasons, Java has had its greatest success in server side web applications. Server code runs for days and weeks at end, so a few seconds extra startup time is irrelevant. And in a server context, Java is not slow.
I am trying to set up a bit of coding that will allow customers on my site to see how much a product will be before they buy it. All of my products have a 3 digit serial number, and the price of a product is the sum of the digits in the serial number plus 10. I have written this code in the hopes of allowing customers to input the three digits of the serial number, and then for the price to be displayed for them. However, it isn't working, and I don't really know why, as I am a beginner when it comes to programming. Could someone please take a look and let me know where I am going wrong? Remember, I am a real beginner, so my mistakes could be huge or tiny, I don't know.

Java was created by engineers working at Sun Microsystems. The figure that stands out most of all is James Gosling, widely regarded as the "father" of Java. James and his team were working on a language whose original name was Oak. Oak was designed for embedded devices, such as mobile phones. The first publicly available version of Java, however, was as Java applets, in the original HotJava browser. From there, Java grew to what it is today.
A 'queue' is a particular kind of data structure that Java is capable of working with. There are no products called "Java Queue" and is thus not something one can download.
