No, unless you want to destroy your transmission. While a RWD vehicle could simply have the driveshaft removed, a front wheel drive car doesn't have one to remove.. it uses a transaxle, and everything is internalized. Even with a manual transmission, flat towing is discourage for front wheel drive cars.

what is your ?, a MAF is basicly a IAT The Mazda Protege and Protege 5 2.0L engine has an IAT Sensor located just past the factory air filter box. It is a two wire sensor that plugs into the intake tube via a rubber grommet. The three wire plug in the Mass Air Flow Sensor. DO NOT Unplug either of these sensors while the vehicle is running or key turned to accessory. Will cause a flag in the computer and turn on the Check Engine Light. Hope this helps.
The sensor is located on th eexhaust manifold just above where the exhaust pipe joind the manifold. If its been on for a while, you'll probably need a torch to get it out.
your clutch is going out. i had the same problem. look into getting a new pressure plate and while your at it, get a new flywheel. if you done look at it soon, you will be walking
