if the only reason your parents wont let you get a cat is the whole cat hair thing, maybe if you ask maturely if you can get a short hair that doesn't shed as much or maybe a sphinx which doesn't have fur.

Tease your hair or just leave it un-teased. Bows and headbands etc to put in your hair. Not all scene kids dye or tease their hair. If they wont let you get the haircut just tell them it's layers and fringe bangs. Hair extensions you can take take out easily. With a particular hairdo it will look like your own hair and part of the do. Wear the clothes and the jewelry.

You know--it all depends. You shouldn't bother if your parents are the kind that make you study 3 hours for your next test, or the kind of parents who urge you to exercise 24/7. They probably wont let you do that stuff. If you have more laid-back parents, I guess it wont hurt to ask. If you want to dye your hair permanently, say chestnut brown or blond, I don't know what YOUR parents would say, but mine would be all like: "Forget it." But that's just how I was raised. If you want to dye your hair for a fun activity just for a while, (and you don't have the super strict parents) I'm sure they might let you. I know mine won't let me do it, though. If all you get are no's, there are many fun things you can do instead of dying. Try highlights, beads, or experiment with gel or mouse. (Ask first, though!) Those things your parents will most likely let you do.
