Generally automotive blower motors are designed to run on the lowest speed even though the heater is turned off. The purpose is to circulate fresh air into the cab.
The most common problem when a car's heater fan doesn't shut off when the car is shut off is that the resistor on the blower motor has gone bad. The fuse that powers the resistor should also be checked.
It sound like the thermostat is broken
BAD FUSE SOUNDS NUTS BUT IT IS?
fan motor could be bad
The carburetor needs rebuilding.
there is a condenser on the heater housing it has 2 bolts holding it into the housing, just below the heater motor, they go bad, i had the same problem on a 95 rodeo.
If you have a water heater in the unit there may be a shut off before that, usually at the floor or follow the cold side to a shut off. There may be an access panel behind the shower, possible in a hall closet but not always and there might be shut off valves there, but not likely. If your water heater is in the basement, there should be a shut off for each unit there.
Check for loose wire connections also Defective blower motor or resistor pack. Blown fuse or defective blower motor switch.
first of all i hate to say an obvious answer but does the heater motor even turn. Does it blow air at all. The first thing i would check is if the fan motor is blowing any air at all. If not u need to put in a new heater fan motor. first of all i hate to say an obvious answer but does the heater motor even turn. Does it blow air at all. somtimes a mouse moves into the blower motor and makes a nest ?
Needs new abs pump. Pull fuse in mean time.
If a motor is running when the cap fails it will probably continue to run at much higher amp draw and most likely shut down on thermal overload. It can start with a bad cap, but in my experience it most likey wont.
