Worn out main and cam bearings, tired oil pump, restricted oil sump screen.
When the oil pump was changed, was the pickup tube cleaned also? Could that be plugged?

In an Oldsmobile Bravada, the oil pump is typically located inside the oil pan, which is situated at the bottom of the engine. To access the oil pump, you usually need to remove the oil pan, as it is not directly accessible from the top of the engine. The oil pump is driven by the engine's crankshaft and is responsible for circulating oil throughout the engine for lubrication. Always refer to the specific service manual for detailed instructions and safety precautions.
it is the front top center of engine
Hi Yes I'm afraid it does. The oil pump is usually in the sump, oil is pumped up to the top of the engine and lubricates the valve rods the piston rings and the big end bearings.
take the old one off. then put the new one on and top up with oil
with a pump and siphon tube out the filler cap. Unless you're dead set on getting every last drop, in which case you have to remove the air shroud on the right side of the cylinder to expose the oil pump, and remove the oil supply tube from the top of the pump to drain the tank. Be careful to keep the inlet of the pump filled with oil, or you'll have to bleed the pump.
