fuel fillter may be blocked fuel relay switch
A diesel engine that is starved for fuel will lose prime. This means that you will be unable to start the engine once it has stalled.
First post. What you need to do is fill the fuel pump up with diesel and then start it. that avoids these stupid vauxhalls to get airlock. however, now you got to fill the fuel pump with diesel and then tow it and then bump start it. that will allow the vehicle to unair-lock. hope that helps unpickedexpert@blueyonder.co.UK
Put some diesel fuel in the fuel filter before you start it - it'll save you a lot of trouble versus trying to manually prime the pump.
Fill up the fuel filter with diesel fuel before you try starting it.
The fuel cut off solenoid on a Vauxhall Astra van is located on the diesel pump. It is round and has one wire attached to it.
It may very well be that are is a compression problem here. That the diesel fuel is running past the rings and providing inefficient fuel stock to fire the fuel and air mixture. try and start the truck with a short shot of ether spray.
A frail fuel line can cause a diesel engine not to start.
Your 99 diesel will only start running when the block heater is plugged in because your glow plugs need replaced. The fuel is not reaching a high enough temperature to initiate compression.
Not shure about cars but a diesel truck remove fuel filter fill with fuel and install (any air will stop the fuel from flowing)
Sign of bad rings or excessive fuel in cylinders. Check compression.
Diesel engines need to be primed when the have ran out of fuel. You should be able to find the primer either ontop of the fuel filter on near the inlet manifold
