Why would Oil pressure drops at idle to almost there is no knocks or noise in the engine. It's a little 4 cyl Chevy S-10 1998. Only 154000 miles.?

The oil pressure sending unit or the gauge itself may be inaccurate. Temporarily install a mechanical oil pressure gauge in place of the stock unit for testing purposes. Compare results.
